Shelly Stillman-Scott has been teaching tennis on the Monterey Peninsula for the past 11 years and ran a very active lesson program along with the highly popular Nike Tennis and Swim Camp.
Shelly, her husband and their two sons moved to the Central Coast in 1997 from Montana where she and her husband taught tennis and helped build an indoor tennis club. Shelly spent 5 years in Hawaii teaching at the Royal Lahaina Resort, Wailea Tennis Club and the Hyatt Regency Kaanapali Beach.
Shelly had a successful career as a collegiate and junior tennis player. Shelly received the first full woman's tennis scholarship at the University of Virginia where she played #1 singles and doubles for the Cavaliers and competed in the NCAA Individual Championships. She was ranked as high as #12 in singles in the US as a junior player and #2 in doubles nationally.
As a senior player, Shelly has continued to play competitively, achieving a career high doubles ranking of #1 in the US in 2006 with partner, Kathy Vick, of Lubbock, Texas, and a career high singles ranking of #7 in the Nation in 2009.
